What we do...

The web site:

• provides information about various social welfare payments, e.g. widowed persons pension.

• MABS kindly wrote an article with regard to free advice they can provide in cases of financial hardship after a bereavement.

• Questions friends may have in how to help a widowed friend.

• and much more besides.

In the forum:

• the members can talk freely in an environment designed for widowed people of all ages, religions and even different nationalities.

• We also welcome those that have lost their life partner to share in the forum.

About Us

On the 24th January 2009 Widow.ie went live to the web. Instantly new members started to arrive which reflected the need for a site such as this in Ireland.

Members of the forum are countrywide and global, of all ages and backgrounds. We are the people behind the headline ‘A person was killed today...’ We are also the people no headline cried out for.

You may find our forum a support by conversing with other widows and widowers who like you travel this journey of grief. Membership is free with immediate access once you join.

The members are kind, understanding and willing to support one another in our lowest times. Conversations vary as we share our better days too, we may start with a tear but end with a smile.
